Sun-baked boats
Hand-me-down cutoffs
Tourist tank tops
Crawdads and ice cream
Laughing, splashing
Deep brown tans
Nightcrawlers and catfish
Up all night
Mosquito bites
Crickets
Soothing crickets
Soaked to the bone
And they smiled for a change
